Derwent Hill’s campsite is designed primarily for group use and can be booked on an exclusive basis.
It can accommodate a maximum of 28 people (including the camping pods).
It is a great secluded location for youth groups, DofE expeditions, outdoor clubs and families.
The two adjacent camping pods can each accommodate up to four people in one double and two single beds.
There is no vehicular access to the site but parking is available a few minutes’ walk away, with lighting to guide you on the way. The walk really is worth the effort as the campsite is in a beautifully secluded location with stunning views on the surrounding fells.
The amenity block has a shared kitchen and 4 individual bathrooms, one of which is accessible.
Please note that the campsite is in the grounds of Derwent Hill and as such we expect the standards of behaviour to be consistent with an Educational setting. For this reason, we are unable to accept Stag and Hen parties or any groups that are looking for a lively location.
Please note that all bookings are for a minimum of two nights, with the exception of DofE expeditions.

– £14.00 per person per night from April 2023 to March 2024
– £12.50 per person per night for DofE students and staff
